NetRiskScan results are reference information, not proof of identity, intent, safety or wrongdoing. IP reputation, the NetRiskScan Index, GeoIP, ASN, ISP, VPN and proxy detection can differ between providers and can change over time.

Why results differ

Providers use different databases, observation windows, labels and confidence thresholds. Mobile and residential addresses can be reassigned. VPN exits rotate. ISP routing changes. GeoIP is approximate, and browser-observed traffic may follow a different path from DNS, WebRTC or IPv6 traffic.

Use context, not a single flag

A VPN can be a legitimate privacy or workplace tool. A datacenter address is not automatically malicious. A clean result cannot guarantee that a connection is safe. Verify material decisions with current evidence from more than one source and give affected users a reasonable correction path.
